Modern life moves quickly, and many people carry the weight of constant thoughts, stress, and everyday burdens without realizing it.

Helping People Discover Lasting Inner Peace

Many meditation practices help you feel calm in the moment. Our approach goes deeper — helping you understand and release the thoughts, patterns, and emotional burdens that create stress and limit your happiness.

Inspired by a Korean meditation tradition and thoughtfully adapted for modern life, our guided practice uses reflection and visualization to help you let go of the accumulated thoughts and beliefs that shape how you see yourself and the world.

The result is more than temporary relaxation. It is a journey toward greater clarity, freedom, and lasting inner peace.

A Step-by-Step Path to Inner Clarity

Our meditation follows a guided process of self-reflection and letting go. Through four stages, practitioners gradually release accumulated thoughts and reconnect with a clearer, more peaceful state of mind.

Four steps: Recall, Reflect, Release, Return

Mountain landscape — Woo Myung

Woo Myung

From an early age, Woo Myung earnestly sought answers to life's most fundamental questions: Why do people live? Where do we come from and where do we go? Why is there so much conflict in the world?

Through deep searching and self-reflection, he reached enlightenment and developed the meditation method now taught at centers around the world — including Brooklyn Meditation.

His teachings guide the core of our practice: helping people let go of their false mind and discover their true self.

Elizabeth Cockrell - Guide

Elizabeth Cockrell

Guide

My meditation journey began in 2013 — a personal need to heal and settle my mind. Finding peace through this practice completely transformed me, and I believe if it worked for me, it can work for anyone.

I became a guide with Brooklyn Meditation when we first opened in 2015. I'm here to offer a listening ear and facilitate the self-reflection that helps you let go of what's weighing on you, and find your true nature.

You Don't Have to Do This Alone

Meditation is a personal journey, but it doesn't have to be a lonely one. At Brooklyn Meditation, you'll find a warm and supportive community where people encourage one another, celebrate each other's growth, and discover that lasting change is possible together.
